One of the big questions for any woman considering a labiaplasty is: “How much will it cost?” The good news is that, compared to other cosmetic procedures, it’s not that much. In fact, although it’s not the least-expensive procedure, it does tend to be one of the lower-priced surgeries. Here’s a list of the most commonly-sought cosmetic-surgery procedures, along with the average cost in the United States. Take a look at the list, and then we’ll discuss some observations:
Micro Peel $60-100 Botox $200-400 per area Spider Vein Rx (Sclero) $200-500 Hair Removal (Laser) $300-800 Tattoo Removal (Laser) $300-800 Permanent Eyeliner $300-1000 Permanent Lip Liner $300-1000 Spider Vein Rx (Laser) $400-1000 Blue Peel $500-700 Collagen Injection $500-1500 Lip Augmentation $600-2000 Medium Peel $1500-2500 Dermabrasion $2000-4000 Labiaplasty $2500-5000
Liposuction (1 area) $2500-4500 Chin or Cheek Implants $3000-4500 Deep Chemical Peel $3500-5000 Forehead Lift (Brow Lift) $3500-5000 Laser (CO2) $4000-5000 Eyelid Tuck (upper & lower) $4000-6000 Nose Surgery $5000-7000 Breast Lift $6000-8000 Arm Lift (Brachioplasty) $5000-6500 Breast Augmentation (saline) $5000-6500 Liposuction (3 areas) $5500-7000 Breast Augmentation(silicone) $6000-8000 Pectoral Implants $6000-7000 Tummy Tuck $6000-10,000 Face Lift female $7000-10,000 Liposuction (5 areas) $8000-10,000
In each of these costs, the numbers mentioned will cover the surgeon’s fee but may or may not cover the operating room fee, the anesthesia fee and the cost of the implant itself if applicable. IMPORTANT: These numbers are simply an average, and do not reflect every surgeon’s / center’s costs. You should call and inquire about actual costs with the surgeon you are considering. And make sure they tell you about all costs involved. . . otherwise, in many cases, they’ll tell you only the surgeon’s fee. But the surgeon fee normally makes up only about sixty to 80 percent of the entire cost involved.
Even though these costs are just an average, what’s surprising is how uniform costs tend to be from coast to coast. Therefore, you can have a pretty good idea by consulting this list about how much you can expect to pay. And so, in the area of labiaplasty, you can be sure that no matter where you go in the United States, you’ll probably spend between $2,500 and $5,000.
A couple of interesting observations:
* Nearly every cosmetic procedure is something done mostly by women. The one exception: tattoo removal, which is something that more men seek than women (since obviously, more men than women have tattoos).
* Most procedures are done to improve the person’s physical appearance. Labiaplasty is one of the few that emphasizes the sensation of touch rather than sight–specifically, it’s aimed at improving the sensation during sexual intercourse.
Use this price list as a guide. But remember: Don’t go bargain hunting for a plastic surgeon. This is something that should be entrusted only to the best of the best.
