Self Confidence

When Your Self Confidence Needs a Small Boost

Are there days when you take a look at your body and you feel slightly undesirable? I’m not talking about persistent feelings of extreme worthlessness. If that’s your problem, then you need to consult with a professional counselor. Rather, I’m referring to someone who needs just a small boost in self-worth. She feels her pelvic area is not attractive and not appealing to her partner. Perhaps she even avoids sexual activity because her labia is overly-large or misshapen because of age or childbirth.

If this person sounds like you, then labiaplasty might be the gentle boost you need for your self confidence. Whenever a female finds her most private area are an embarrassment, this can actually hinder her during sexual encounters as she becomes self-conscious about the problem. This, as a result, can make her partner unsatisfied and even lead to strains in the relationship. Labiaplasty can help resolve some of this.

If you think labiaplasty is too extreme of an option, think again. The procedure is fairly simple for a surgeon with the proper training. And the returns for such a simple procedure can be enormous.

Consider this; Whenever a woman’s labia is asymmetrical or enlarged, it’s not as easy for a woman to achieve orgasm, since there’s not enough friction. Lack of friction leads to lack of sensitivity during sex, which hinders orgasm.

This hypertrophy or irregularity in the woman’s labia frequently occurs as a result of delivering a large baby, or a prolonged delivery, or having multiple deliveries. When the woman is giving birth, the woman’s labia are stretched quite thin. If the woman has, during the course of her life, had several births, this exacerbates the problem. And even age plays a role, since when she ages, her labia minora and majora lose their shape.

A woman’s labia minora (or inner genital lips) typically are seen only when her legs are separated. However, an enlargement in the labia causes them to be seen when the woman wears tight clothing (such as a bathing suit or pants) and also when she stands. Many women find this quite embarrassing, causing her to become self-conscious.

Not only that, but this enlargement also is uncomfortable for many who perform physical exercises such as bike-riding. For some, it can even cause pain or discomfort during intercourse (a phenomenon known as dysperunia).

These problems are the very reason labiaplasty has become popular. Popular and simple. The typical labiaplasty is an hour-long operation dune under sedation or general anesthesia. The procedure reduces the size of the labia and reshapes it have a more pleasing appearance. The surgical incisions heal well and fairly rapidly. These incisions are nearly invisible and the stitches are self-absorbing.

Following the procedure, most patients report being extremely happy with their labiaplasty. They feel it has restored a sense of sexual pleasure and confident about their own desirability. Similarly to other cosmetic operations, a labiaplasty helps return some youth to the woman, in this case to her genital area.
