What can I expect with the Fat Injections Procedure?

On the day of your procedure, a small amount of your blood will be extracted. Our doctors will then isolate the plasma and concentrate the autologous platelets. The Platelet Rich Plasma is then available to inject back into your problematic areas.

The total time it takes for swelling to resolve can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months.  This is because there are many variables such as the amount of fat transfer that was performed, the “depth” with which it was performed, and also how many areas were actually treated.

PRP has been used clinically for over a decade, and has proven to be safe and effective. Because PRP is derived from your own blood at the time of surgery it is insulated against the risk of disease transmission.  It also improves fat graft volume retention.
