Reasons Women Have Hymenoplasty

For a lot of women, the first sexual experience is not much fun. Most of the time this is so because of the hymen, rather than inexperience and nervousness which may prevent relaxation and enjoyment.

A lot of women do not wait until marriage today either, and it is common for a couple to share a home and a bed before they get married as well. Sometimes this leads to regrets, especially if the woman is from a traditional culture which insists that the bride be a virgin and untouched. This can cause some concern if the hymen is broken, and hymen repair surgery can resolve these concerns and rebuild and replace your hymen. The procedure is simple and only takes about an hour, and after the recovery period it will be impossible to tell that the reconstructed hymen is not the natural hymen that you were born with. This can allow you to have a traditional wedding with proof of an intact hymen.

Another reason women have a hymen repair procedure is to surprise their new husband on their wedding night. Some women have been intimate with their intended spouse, and want the wedding night to be special and memorable. This will strengthen your love and bond, and having hymen repair will surprise and thrill him, and make your wedding night one to remember. For many men the hymen has a special significance, and it gives them a special thrill to know they are the ones removing this barrier. Having your hymen repaired is guaranteed to delight your new husband, and make him adore you even more. Some women may technically still be a virgin and inexperienced in sex, but do to an activity or accident they may have accidentally ruptured their hymen. This can occur from bike riding, tampon use, and other activities. Some injuries can also cause the hymen to rupture.

There are those women, who may have been raped and do not want anyone to know, or those that were sexually abused at a young age and want to keep that a secret. They too want to start a new sexual life without any stigmata and bad memories. They too may want to have hymen reconstruction.

Hymen repair surgery is a simple and easy. During the surgery, the surgeon will pull a section of the vaginal mucous membrane over and attach it to the tissues of the other side. This creates an artificial hymen that looks and acts like the real thing. Hymens will vary in size, shape, and coverage, from just a sliver of tissue to complete coverage, and hymen repair surgery will give you a very natural hymen which of course is not a complete coverage of the vaginal opening. There must be some type of opening in the hymen, for discharge and menstrual blood to exit the body, and hymen repair must ensure this.
