Dominick Cannavo MD Anesthesiologist
Dr. Cannavo attended medical school and completed a medical internship at Georgetown University. He subsequently received his anesthesia training at Columbia Presbyterian, finishing in 1993. Dr. Cannavo initially practiced cardiothoracic anesthesia prior to joining the anesthesia department at the Hospital for Joint Diseases/ NYU in New York City in 1996. In 2004 Dr. Cannavo saw an opportunity for well trained university based anesthesiologists to practice outside the hospital setting. He formed East Side Anesthesia PLLC, now a 17 member, all MD group, providing personalized, university level anesthesia care to surgical practices and surgery centers in New York City and Westchester.
Jacquelyn Lucas Practice Administrator
Drs. Colen are thrilled to have Jacquelyn Lucas join their practice as the Practice Administrator. Jackie is extremely capable and has vast experience in running surgery centers and multiphysician offices. She did just that for the past thirteen years.  She can handle any task and is capable of solving any problems that arise. She is also fun and everyone enjoys working with her.
Bill Murphy Surgical Technician
Bill Murphy, our surgical technician, runs our operating room suite. Bill, who was a medic in the US armed forces is excellent and very organized. His warm personality and operating room experience makes our certified surgical suite the best place to have your surgery performed.
Aniutka (Ani) Olavarria Office Coordinator
Aniutka Olavarria is the Office Coordinator who will make you feel welcomed at our practice. She has worked in the beauty industry for over 5 years. She is devoted to helping patients achieve their aesthetic goals by being a loyal patient-advocate throughout the medical process. You will feel at ease with her during this process because she is attentive, compassionate, and thorough. Aniutka will ensure that all of your questions are answered, and all of your expectations are addressed. She is dedicated to excellence in all facets of her career at Colen MD Plastic Surgery.
Ronda Korfin Patient Coordinator
Ronda has been doing all aspects of Medical Billing/Collecting for the past 20 years! She ensures every patients’ billing questions have been answered both pre and post operatively and takes great pride in making a positive financial experience for every Colen M.D. patient whether they are insurance or self-pay. As a Breast Cancer Survivor, Ronda has firsthand experience with the various emotions patients are facing and she goes above and beyond to make sure all aspects of their breast reconstruction are as comfortable as possible. In her free time, Ronda loves spending time with her family especially at the beach during the summer! She looks forward to assisting through your surgical journey!
Maria Cuocci Registered Nurse
Dr. Kari L. Colen is thrilled to have Maria Cuocci, RN join her practice at Hackensack University Medical Center. Maria is a young and energetic Registered Nurse who is very compassionate and great with patient care. She received her RN Diploma from Holy Name Medical Center School of Nursing in Teaneck, NJ, where she was also her class treasurer. She also received her Associates in Applied Sciences from St. Peter’s University in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, while attending nursing school. Maria is very passionate about nursing and continuing her education. She is currently enrolled in a program through Texas University at Arlington, where she will receive her Bachelor’s in Nursing in the spring of 2015. Maria has a great interest in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and is overjoyed to learn and grow within the Colen, MD practice. She is excited to make a difference in our patients’ lives.
Nicole Gonzales Front Desk Receptionist
Nicole is the receptionist/ coordinator for the Colen MD practice located at the Hackensack office. Nicole has been with the Colen’s since September 2013. When you arrive at Colen MD Nicole is there to greet you with her warm smile, and loving personality. With the Colen MD practice growing so rapidly, she is able to multi-task and keep everyone organized, and keep patients happy at the same time. Nicole attended East wick College, and studied in the medical field for two years. She graduated in 2011 with an Associate’s Degree. Nicole enjoys daily interaction with the patients. Her main focus is to make every patient feel comfortable and at ease. For her, the most rewarding part is knowing she did just that & she looks forward to meeting you!
