Confidence is the Key: Surgery in the Pelvic area

For many women, sexual confidence is difficult to achieve. As women become more independent and equal with men in education and in earning a living bashfulness and innocence is also changing. More women talk more freely about the appearance of their pelvic structures just as the men do. With that freedom even magazines and shows discuss the “accepted” and “desired” look of a woman’s labia and vaginal area. Magazines, celebrities, and the media create an image of what the “ideal” woman’s genitalia should look like. It has become very popular to have bikini waxes and to trim all or some of the pubic hair, as well as wearing more revealing lingerie, clothing and swimwear. Because of this focus, more and more women ask for plastic surgery to fix what they may consider abnormal or unattractive looking labia or vaginal area. Commonly, women get a labiaplasty, vaginal rejuvenation (vaginaplasty) or both. Whether for medical or cosmetic reasons, both procedures are performed by a plastic surgeon or gynecologist that specializes in these types of procedures. Occassionally and most ideally these procedures are done in combination of both gynecologists and plastic surgeons. Often urinary frequency and other vaginal changes can be repaired at same time. Knowing that the pelvic region looks good to them after the surgery those Women feel totally self-confident and it also dramatically affects their relationship with their partners and their sexual encounters. Waxing and shaving pubic hair some women find that their inner labia are much longer, or larger than they would like them to be and their outer labia also may be too fat or too thin. With a labiaplasty, women can achieve what they deam is the “ ideal” sexy labia they wanted to have. Other women find that as they have gotten older they do not reach climax as easily during sex. Through a vaginaplasty, women can have their vaginal muscles made tighter resulting in a more pleasurable experience during intercourse. Whatever the reason for feeling inadequate sexually, with today’s breakthroughs in plastic/gyn surgery there are new ways to give the female sexual confidence. These procedures are not just for women that are in committed relationships. Single women are also a part of the trend, many wanting to look their best in case a potential partner arises. Besides wanting to look good for potential partners and committed partners alike, women have the procedures because they simply want to feel good about themselves.
