Enhance Certain Facial Features with Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing

Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing

Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing

Have you ever realized how much time you waste putting on makeup, touching up makeup and taking off makeup? On any given day, you may spend several hours on makeup alone! If you’d like to streamline your routine while also enhancing your facial features, permanent cosmetic tattooing may be right up your alley.

What is Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing?

Permanent cosmetic tattooing is essentially permanent makeup, but the technical term is micro pigmentation or MP. Micro pigmentation is permanent in that it can’t be washed off, but it’s important to note that it won’t last forever, and touchups will be periodically necessary. With that being said, you don’t have to worry about permanent makeup coming off while sleeping, swimming, exercising, sweating or taking a shower.

Regarding wear-off, everyone’s skin is different, so how long your permanent makeup will last will depend on your particular skin type and the type of permanent makeup that you choose, among other things. Influencing factors include your age, the thickness of your skin, how much you’re generally exposed to the sun, what type of medications or treatments you regularly use and how often you wash your skin and use products.

The dye used in a permanent cosmetic tattooing procedure is not traditional tattoo ink. Rather, it’s a more delicate form of ink that won’t irritate the skin, and when used on the brows, it’s designed to mimic actual hairs for an amazingly realistic look. In all cosmetic tattooing procedures, the pigment is deposited into the uppermost skin layer.

Common Types of Permanent Makeup

There are numerous types of permanent makeup, but the most common types are eyeliner, lip color and brow filling. If you put on the same eyeliner every day, permanent eyeliner can be a great timesaver, and you’ll never have to worry about having it be uneven or patchy either. The same goes for lip color. It’s permanent color that’s there whether it’s the middle of the day or the middle of the night.

Many people choose to get brow-filling permanent makeup as well. As we age, our brows tend to become thinner, and micro pigmentation on the brows can be a great way to keep them full and beautifully arched. It’s also great if you’ve been a chronic over-plucker. If you’re used to filling your brows every day with makeup, permanent makeup is a great alternative. You can literally wake up and go!

Who is a Candidate for Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing?

Permanent makeup can be great for almost everyone. It is particularly advantageous for women on-the-go or those who hate putting on makeup, but still want to look done-up. Some older women who have trouble with arthritis or vision may also especially benefit from these services as they can get their makeup done once professionally and be good to go for months at a time.
