Brow Lift
What is Brow lift Surgery?
The Brow lift, sometimes called a Forehead Lift, is a popular procedure designed to decrease the appearance of creases and wrinkles in the forehead and between the brows. A Brow lift procedure is sometimes performed in conjunction with Eyelid Lifts and Facelifts to reach desired results.
As we age our skin, muscle, and fat, all shift. The skin loses elasticity (its ability to tighten); muscles and fat begin to sag. A heavy brow can make a person look older and more severe than they desire to look. A Brow lift is also performed to lift a heavy or low hanging brow.
What results can I expect with a Brow Lift?
These days there are many non-surgical options for facial rejuvenation including Botox and other Dermal Fillers, which are good alternatives to surgical procedures.
A Brow lift’s advantage over these non-surgical procedures however includes longer lasting results and a more significant, effective improvement. While Dermal Fillers can be effective in smoothing our wrinkles and filling in unwanted creases, they cannot provide a lift or remove excess skin.
Am I a Candidate for a Brow lift?
Brow lift surgery is not for everyone. The first step in determining if a Brow lift is right for you is to schedule a consultation with a Plastic Surgery Specialist.
